“Ode To Joy’ is the second part of a two-part project. The visual album won the Audience Award at the 2022 Maui Film Festival for Stunning Short Film and also won third place in the 2022 Peachtree Village International Film Festival for Best Short Film. Shot entirely on the iPhone.
I created “Leaving Home” as a way of processing my departure from my life and childhood in New York. I was having a hard time adjusting to my new environment and constantly felt like I wanted to go back in time; I was really not interested in growing up. This project helped me to release the past and see the light in my future.
“Surviving a pandemic” was a small compilation I put together from the early stages of the lockdown period. I was fortunate enough to spend the majority of my quarantine living in calm and safe spaces, which ended up giving me a different perspective on the topic as a whole. This video was my effort at finding the joy in times that could otherwise be very difficult.
The next two videos I made as a teenager. This one takes place off the Mediterranean Coast in Turkey.
I shot this video as a gift for Father’s Day. It is the first edit I ever made.
